STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) is something we really enjoy in our school.

Every year we celebrate Maths Week and a very successful Science Week, where learning becomes fun, hands-on, and full of discovery.

During Science Week, we are delighted to welcome visitors from a local pharmaceutical company who inspire our pupils and promote women in STEM careers.

An important motto in our school is “If we see it, we can be it.” By meeting real scientists and engineers, our pupils can imagine themselves in these exciting roles in the future.Throughout the day, all classes take part in exciting experiments and activities. This year, pupils made bug hotels, designed and built cars and watched them move, and even used cornflour to create slime. There was lots of curiosity, creativity, and fun learning happening in every classroom.

We also have LEGO SPIKE kits in our school, which the classes love using. Pupils work together in special roles such as builder, coder, and architect to design amazing creations. They then use computer coding to bring their designs to life and make them move.

STEM helps our pupils to think, explore, problem-solve, and imagine. Most importantly, it shows them that learning can be exciting, creative, and full of possibilities. 🚀
