Home School Community Liaison (HSCL)

The role of the HSCL teacher is to build links between the home, the school and the community.

If your child attended Scoil Chaitríona Junior School you will have had a visit at some stage from the Home-School teacher.  Those who are new to Scoil Chaitríona will have an informal visit from the Home School teacher to ensure your child has settled into her new school.

The Home School teacher organises classes for parents to attend while their children are at school. As part of our work we organise many activities in the school or within the community.

Home Visits

We visit homes to build up bonds between parents and school.

During the year a range of classes are held for parents, grandparents and members of the community. These can range from leisure activities to educational courses.

Parents’ Association

As the parent of a pupil attending Scoil Chaitríona Cailíní you are automatically a member of the Association. We would like as many parents as possible to help with activities run throughout the year i.e. Shared Reading, Maths for Fun, Science for Fun, Christmas & Easter Activities and Sport’s Day.

Working together, we can achieve much more!

If for any reason you need to contact us please feel free to ring, email or call to the HSCL office situated behind the stage in Scoil Chaitríona.
